The Seiberling’s named their home Stan Hywet, Old English for stone quarry — after the property’s most prominent natural feature. This 70 acre estate includes 5 historic buildings, 10 fully restored historic gardens and vast collections and furnishings that were original to the estate. The Seiberlings resided on this property for 40 years. In 1955 it became a historic house museum and is the 6th largest historic home open to the public.
